When did you start running?
I started running in February 2013, adn joined the Dub Runners in 2019.

Why did you start running?
To lose weight, get fit and have a go at something I thought I couldn’t do.

With Dub buddies at the 2019 Knocknarea 8 mile loop – before Nuala got a club top !

What is a typical training week for you?
Typical week: In normal times, I enjoy the Tuesday & Thursday club runs, a Saturday Parkrun and a longer solo run on Sunday mornings. I’ve tried to keep that routine since lockdown, but I miss the discipline of the club schedule.

What is your favourite Dub training session?
All our summer routes and Mary Peters Track.

What has been your favourite race(s) to take part in?
I love the Knocknarea 8 mile loop in Sligo – a really nice route, with a low-key vibe. The Raheny 5-mile is another favourite, as it’s my home place and a great start to the year. My favourite half marathons are probably Clonakilty and Belfast.

What are you running goals?
Plain and simple – to keep enjoying it and to improve my marathon time.

Tell us something random about yourself that people might not know!
Much as I like running, my real passion is for long-distance hiking, especially in Spain and France. My next hiking trip will be a fastpacking one, running and walking about 850kms.
