It is all about the parkrun this week, more over the jump!
There was a lot of time and dedication put into this week’s roundup. The awful weather has taken a firm hold – we had it too good for too long, our only results of the week later. I was out for dinner with the missus the other evening, and the waiter came over and said to her “How did you find the pork belly?”. Quick as a flash she replied “Oh, about six years ago, we met on holiday”! And the result…
Saturday morning was a mixed bag for anyone brave enough to venture out past the front door. For snow there was snow, for some ice and for the rest – it just poured with rain. As usual, that didn’t stop from putting on the gear and getting out into the parks:

|Nessa AGNEW||00:22:47||Third Female!|
|Ronan O'FLAHERTY||00:27:20||Newbie PB!|
|Paul Patrick MCCREA||00:24:52|
Fntastic running folks – especially with the rotten weather over the weekend. Special mention this week goes to Nessa who was third across the line at the Victoria event – really well done. Also, two newbie PBs this week from Trevor (at Durham) and Ronan (at Queen’s).
A timely reminder: as we approach Christmas and New Year you can check out if your local parkrun event is hosting a Christmas Day or New Year’s Day event by checking out the Compendium online. Do you know what is 12 inches long, made of leather and sounds like a sneeze? It’s a-shoe!
Keep on running!
Live long and prosper.
