Weekly Roundup: 2016-01-12

It’s all about the parks this week – find out more over the jump!

I have to admit, I love weeks like this – it makes my job very easy!!  I probably shouldn’t get to smug though – I haven’t checked the calendar to see what is on this weekend!!  My missus is on a tropical fruit diet to “Get Healthy for 2016”, I’ll tell you it’s enough to make a mango crazy!  Let’s take a look at the results!

For those lucky enough, parkrun on Saturday was a wet affair – with the rain not taking its time to come down (and let’s not mention the hail showers).  For those unlucky, Saturday morning was chilly and a little icy.  So despite the mixed bag of weather conditions, it was great to see so many Dubs out and about so early:

That is absolutely fantastic running by each and every one of you – in, let’s face it, not the best conditions ever!  Special mentions this week going to second and third girls across the line at Waterworks: Roisin and Nessa (who have claimed that they ran to and from the event!!)  New PBs this week came from Brian C (at Queen’s), Karen (at Wallace) and Aine (at Ormeau) – who is back at parkrun after a two year hiatus!  Finally, just the single newbie PB this week: James (at Carrick).

Could I remind you to let me know if you’re doing any races that I might miss please?  Just to make sure that I get everyone covered – I hope that I can still rely on my spies to keep me informed (and supplied with pictures!).  Me and the (mysterious) missus went to a bank robbers themed party on Saturday.  Well, I went – she sat in the car with the engine running.

Keep on running!

Live long and prosper.
