Weekly Roundup: 2016-12-13

It’s all about the parkrun this past week – more over the jump!

It is the week after the Christmas party – for those brave enough to show their faces again at the club, we’re back at training as usual this evening.  It was an understandably quiet week for the club, but more on that in a moment.   For those of your who are interested in your music, you might like to know that “Duvet Know It’s Christmas?” is getting released again this year – it’s yet another cover.

I was lucky enough to parkrun this weekend with two legendary club members, as we took to the slight inclines of a local parkrun event that they had never tried!  Despite the various conditions and states we were in, we all managed to enjoy ourselves and swore we’d be back again.  Of course it wasn’t just ourselves, there were lots of other Dubbers out on Saturday morning too:

That is fantastic running folks – nice to see such a big crowd out and about! We have plenty of hat tipping to get through this week. First up, to Steven who was second home at the Falls event, setting a new PB at the same time! We also have new PBs set this week by Mark M (at Ormeau) and Ronan (at Valley). Finally, we had some benchmark newbie PBs set this week by Roisin and Nessa (at Valley) and Eimear (at Worclaw).

Before I go this week, can we wish good luck to two of the Málaga contingent, who not content with getting a soaking and a cancellation last week, are tackling a trail marathon this coming weekend in Portsmouth!!  I feel I should tell you all that I got some bad news this week, I’ve poured every last penny I have into my limo business – but I still have nothing to chauffeur it.

Keep on running!

Live long and prosper.

Disclaimer: Every effort was taken to ensure the results above are correct (Christmas market run this week!!). If you’d like to make a complaint, then you’ll automatically volunteer yourself for writing duties next week 🙂
