You can transfer your entry to another person, free of charge (until Wednesday 24th July). You can do this by clicking the link in your registration e-mail. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds.

Cancellations

As we have now sold out, we would really appreciate it if you could inform us by replying to race@dubrunners.club if you have entered and now for some reason will not be able to make the race so that we can reallocate your number to a new entrant – unfortunately we cannot offer refunds.

Registration

Number pick-up will take place in the new Dub Pavilion at Queens Upper Malone Playing fields on Thursday 25th from 6.30pm to 8.00pm or on the night of the race from 5.00pm – 6.45pm at the race starting area. With the race starting this year promptly at 7.00pm.

New for 2019: Bring Your Own Water Bottle

There will be water available at the finish line, if you would like, you can bring your own reusable bottle along with you. We will tag it with your race number, fill it and leave it waiting for you on the designated table at by the finish. All you have to do is hand in your bottle on the night to one of the start line marshals.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be provided free of charge for all competitors after the race in the Pavilion at the playing fields after the race near the main car park.

Parking

There is limited parking available at the Upper Malone Playing fields – enter via the main gate (not the Dub Lane) and make your way to the lower car park where registration will be taking place. There will be marshals in the car park directing you to the correct location, please do not park on double yellow lines on the access road to the lower car park as this will only cause disruption to traffic. There is another car park available at the front of Malone House which can be accessed off Milltown road near the main Shaw’s Bridge car park, this park is also very convenient to the start and finish lines and may be more suitable for anyone coming from the south of the city.

Race Briefing

A short race briefing will be held approx. 5 minutes before race time.

Course

The course is mostly on hard trails and roads but there are some off road areas as well and if the weather is wet (hopefully not) these may be slippy or muddy so be prepared. There are also a number of gates and stiles to be negotiated but these will be well signposted and marshalled but we ask for your patience when negotiating these obstacles. All roads and trails are open to the public so please be aware of this, while we will do our best to avoid any issues please be careful when crossing roads and when encountering any other trail users. A water station will be set up in Edenderry Village (approx. half way) please dispose of cups before exiting the village.

Litter

Recycling and general waste bins will be available near the start/finish line and bins for used plastic water cups at the exit to Edenderry village – please use these and try not to carry your water cups over Gilchrist Bridge and into the Lagan Valley Regional Park.

Race Photos

We hope to have some photographers out on the route but if your friends and family take any photos of the event and want to share them please tweet them to us @thedubrunners using #GiantsTrailRace or #EmptyTheTank
