Announcement: The Giant’s Trail Race will not be staged in 2020 and has moved to Friday 30th July 2021.

Sadly, this is the news we have all been expecting, the cancellation of the Giant’s Trail Race for 2020.

We had been holding off announcing the cancellation in the hope that conditions might have changed more favourably and allowed our increasingly popular event to take place this year. We would like to thank Athletics NI, Queen’s Sport, Belfast City Council and the others who were helping behind the scenes to put on a race this year.

We have some good news for you all! We are pleased to announce that we have secured a date of Friday 30th July 2021 to host the sixth Giant’s Trail Race event.

All this does mean that you’ll just have a wait a little longer to be serenaded by ‘Chariots of Fire’ as you begin a race!
